September 2021 Newsletter - Our Open Program and NUTCRACKER AUDITIONS!
Dear Chamberlain School of Ballet students and families,
Thank you to everyone for a wonderful start of our 2021-22 school year! The teachers and the staff are enjoying having the energy back in the studio! We are now into our second month of our 45th year. We hosted auditions for Chamberlain Ballet company members and will be posting placements in a separate post.
Auditions are NOT over, though! We are excited to have Nutcracker auditions upcoming on September 11 and 12. Auditions are open to the public! We would love for you, your siblings, friends, and neighbors to all audition for our various children’s roles. Dance or Theater experience is preferable but not required.
Ages for auditions: 6 and up
Please note: children must be 6 or older by the end of November, 2021 to audition for the cast.
Rehearsals will be held weekends during October and November, and Tuesday, November 23 and Wednesday, November 24 at the Eisemann Center.
Details on dates and times depend on roles cast.
Performances will be Friday, November 26, Saturday, November 27 and Sunday, November 28 at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas
Mandatory Parent Meeting - Must Attend in order to Register for Auditions
There will be a Mandatory parent meeting on Tuesday, September 7 at 6:00pm and Wednesday, September 8, at 7:00pm. One parent or guardian must attend one of the meetings for your child to audition. The meetings will be held at 3003 W 15th Street, Plano TX 75075.
Your child needs to attend one of the two audition dates:
Saturday - September 11, 2021
Sunday - September 12, 2021
Ages 6 - 8 will audition from 1:30pm to 3:00pm
Ages 9 - 12 will audition from 2:45pm to 4:15pm
Ages 13+ will audition from 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Casting for the performance will be announced no later than Friday, September 17.
Registration for Auditions will be sent following attendance at the Parent Meeting in September.
Referral Bonus - $100
We may have started our fall semester, but we are continually enrolling throughout the year! Chamberlain School of Ballet has succeeded, throughout the years, due primarily to word of mouth and referrals. For this, we want to be able to thank you! Our way of saying thanks is to credit your account, for CSB, $100 per referral who enrolls. So please, do encourage your friends, family, and neighbors to enroll in dance and learn one of life’s great arts!
Expanded Open Program
Our open program for adults and teens has expanded to include classes in tap, modern, and jazz! Our open tap class is held Tuesday evenings from 7:15 to 8:15. This class is an advanced tap class taught by Dory Kyrias.
We are excited to have Bruce Wood Dance company member Weaver Rhodes to teach our Wednesday evening open classes for modern and jazz. These classes are a great way to connect with the art of dance!

Single Class Rate: $ 22.50
4 Class Card: $ 80.00
8 Class Card: $ 125.00

Students are not to arrive earlier than 15 minutes before class start.
Face Masks must be worn at all times
In-studio and online Zoom classes available for those wishing to attend virtual classes.
MASTER CLASSES WITH TILER PECK AND TYLER ANGLE
Tiler Peck and Tyler Angle will also be giving master classes while they are in town to perform with us!
We are so very excited to be able to host a forum for which they can share their knowledge of dance and what it takes to perform at ballet’s top level. Classes will be Friday, November 26 & Saturday, November 27.
