Dear Chamberlain Families: Coronavirus Precautions

POINTE SHOES.jpg

Dear Chamberlain Families,

We are very proud of our students and are grateful that you have chosen Chamberlain School of Ballet as their dance school.  We want to assure you that we have precautions in place regarding the Coronavirus and have reached out to a highly regarded internal medicine doctor for guidance and information. Please help us keep Chamberlain School of Ballet a safe and healthy place to be.

Chamberlain School of Ballet, in response to global concerns for the possibility of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, will be following the CDC community guidelines.  Most of these recommendations are the same recommendations that we already have in place and follow in regard to the annual Influenza season and with other known illness exposures within the studio.

Students, Staff, and/or Families who travel in areas with known Coronavirus cases and therefore present the possibility of exposure to Coronavirus are expected to follow Federal CDC guidelines of self-quarantine and self-monitoring- as directed by customs agents upon return to the US.

General illness precautions include the following:

If you have a fever, stay home and if necessary, reach out to your health professional.

Students/Staff/Family members should be fever free for at least 24 hrs without the use of fever reducing medications before returning to the studio.

Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (we encourage the children to sing the ABC song or the Happy Birthday song while washing their hands).  Wash hands specifically after using the bathroom and before and after eating. This is preferred to the use of hand sanitizing gel.

Disinfecting cloths will be used to wipe-down door knobs and the barre before classes and at the end of the day.

Chamberlain School of Ballet will follow State of Texas Health Department/ Collin County Health Department recommendation should the need to shut down schools/daycare arise in response to the Coronavirus.

Thank you.
