Children's Recital and Online Classes Updates
Dear Students and Families,
I hope this letter finds you safe and well. My faculty, staff and I are also doing our best to stay safe and well. On behalf of everyone at Chamberlain School of Ballet (CSB), thank you to all who are working hard to care for the sick and elderly, supporting our first responders, and those who are enabling the rest of us to have food and necessities. Each of you are our heroes.
CSB’s online classes began on Wednesday, April 1. The response has been very positive thus far. Thank you for your continued support and allowing us to share our common passion with you and your child(ren). Please contact Carolyn Cox if you have not received your login invitation.
At this time, our lower level children’s May 3rd Spring Performance has not been canceled, but I anticipate it to be. This makes me very sad since this performance is such a highlight for our students, their families, and CSB’s faculty/staff. All performance fees for this show will be refunded. We will be working to expedite your refund once the funds have been reimbursed to CSB. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Regarding plans for our upper level May 20th performance and return to the studio, both are uncertain at this time. In accordance with Governor Abbott’s order on March 31, 2020, and in the interest of public health and doing everything in our power to limit the spread of COVID-19, Chamberlain School of Ballet will be extending its closure through May 3rd.
My faculty, staff and I try to stay hopeful that we will be able to return to the studio the week of May 5th. Our hope is to present a showcase for our loved ones at the Eisemann Center. An update will be sent regarding our May 20th performance date once I have been given information from the theater regarding any cancellations.
For the time being, please check this website for updates and also follow us on Facebook and Instagram. Any questions or concerns please contact Carolyn Cox at Carolyn@ChamberlainSchoolofBallet.com.
Please stay at home if possible. Try to be grateful for all blessings and miracles that are part of our world, even during these times of uncertainty. It is with hope we will soon be together again physically.
Until then, I am sending you and yours a big virtual hug, and we hope to see you in our online classes.
Ms. Kathy
