Let's get into some of the EXCITING news we can already bring you!
Welcome to Three Outstanding Teachers
We are thrilled to announce the addition of three exceptional instructors to our faculty! Please join us in welcoming Shawn Stevens, Walker Martin, and Julia Meister.
Shawn Stevens joins us with wonderful understanding of classical ballet technique. Her extensive experience includes a decade performing with New York City Ballet and five years with Twyla Tharp Dance. Her expertise will undoubtedly motivate our aspiring dancers and contribute to their artistic development. Walker Martin brings a fresh perspective to our classes with his unique blend of classical and contemporary movements. He studied on scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet School and American Ballet Theatre® (ABT) Summer Intensives in New York City, and was named an ABT® National Training Scholar from 2009 to 2011. Walker is certified in Pre-Primary through Level 7 and Partnering of the American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum, and is an ABT® Fellowship Teacher, having successfully presented students for examinations. He will enhance our students' understanding of dance.
We are also excited to have Julia Meister join us. Ms. Meister studied on scholarship in the Professional Division at Pacific Northwest Ballet School under the direction of Peter Boal, performing in both Pacific Northwest Ballet productions and ballets by Margaret Mullin and Kiyon Ross. She then joined Diablo Ballet for two seasons. Her repertoire with the company includes works by George Balanchine, Penny Saunders, and Julia Adam.
We are confident that Shawn, Walker, and Julia will become invaluable assets to our dance faculty. Together, we will continue to cultivate the love of dance and nurture the next generation of exceptional dancers.
Fond Farewells
Chamberlain School of Ballet sadly bids farewell to instructors Melissa Reed, Luke Yee, and Isabella Sumera.
We are filled with bittersweet excitement as their genuine passion, unwavering dedication, and extraordinary talent have shaped our dancers' journeys. All three, however, are venturing down new paths in different states. Melissa will be shifting into nursing school, and Billie and Luke are off to California! We will miss the memories they have created, and the profound impact they have had on our students will forever be cherished. While we feel a pang of sadness as they venture into new horizons, we are eager to witness their flourishing careers and the positive influence they will undoubtedly have on the world. They’ll always be in the hearts of our ballet family, and we are immensely grateful for the time they spent guiding, inspiring, and nurturing our dancers.
We wish Melissa, Luke, and Billie all the success in the world!!

These two extraordinary talents bring a wealth of experience and artistry to our school and performing company. Tyler Angle is widely recognized for his powerful performances as principal dancer with the New York City Ballet (with some AMAAAAZING Thanksgiving weekend guest performances in Chamberlain Ballet’s The Nutcracker). Francisco Graciano’s talent was recognized by The New York Times and Dance Magazine naming him a “virtuoso star” “with a freshness that’s all his own” during his time with the Paul Taylor Dance Company from 2004 to 2017.
We are confident that their presence and expertise will inspire our students and enhance the artistic excellence of our Chamberlain community.

The National Company schools always want our students…
We are filled with a bittersweet mix of excitement and sadness as we bid farewell to our talented student, Keita Parry. Keita's tremendous talent has earned him a coveted opportunity to study at the prestigious School of American Ballet in New York City. We couldn't be prouder of his achievements thus far. While we will deeply miss his presence and personality within our dance family, we are thrilled to see him embark on this incredible journey! We can’t wait to witness him spread his wings in the vibrant dance community SAB and New York City have to offer!
We are also delighted to share that our student, Rishika Loffreda, was offered an incredible opportunity to study year round at the prestigious Walnut Hill School for the Arts. Rishika has decided to continue studying at home in Plano for the season. However, this offer is a testament to Rishika's exceptional talent, dedication, and hard work. We are immensely proud of Rishika's accomplishment.
