Spring Recital Information

Dear Parents,

All the faculty and dancers are so excited for the upcoming Spring Recital and are really looking forward to showing all their hard work and what they have learned.

We are very proud of all our students.

Over the Easter Holidays, the Eisemann Center informed us that Chamberlain School of Ballet must adhere to their COVID policy of NO parents in the dressing rooms unless they are chaperones. Please be sure to read through all the updated information in this email and also on the attachment for our changes. Please let me know if you would like to be a chaperone!

To keep the dress rehearsals and performances seamless as possible, below are the changes.

Dress Rehearsals

All students need to arrive for dress rehearsals in costume with hair and make-up already done. Please register at the check-in table and proceed to take your student to the audience. If they have a costume change, please bring the costume to Stage Left dressing room and that is where their costume change will take place for their next dance. The older students are to register at the check-on table and then proceed to go to their assigned dressing rooms (without any parents), put on their costume, touch up their hair and make-up and then return to the check-in table to be directed out to the audience. For your convenience, access to the restrooms will be through Aisle 1 from the audience. Once a dancer has been dismissed, you are free to either watch the rehearsal or leave the theater (in costume except for the older students). Remember to sign out at the check-in table when leaving the Eisemann Center.

Chamberlain School of Ballet has $2.00 parking passes for the Public Parking Garage (attached to the Eisemann Center). Payment in this garage is due when exiting, so to get the $2.00 discounted rate, please get your passes from Carolyn Cox. The passes are available this week at the front desk and they will also be available at the check-in table during dress rehearsals.

Performance Days

For Friday, 4/29 the students arriving ready for the stage (dressed in costume, hair and make-up done), will need to arrive at the theater between 6:30-6:45 pm. Please register at the check-in table and your dancer will be taken directly to the backstage area. If your student is in more than one dance, please take their costume to the Stage Left dressing room for their costume change. For the older students (Ballet Mon 6 pm/Wed 5 pm) with Linda Brown, Level A, Level B, Level C, Level D, and Level E) please register at the check-in table no later than 6:15 pm and go directly to your assigned dressing room until you are called backstage. Younger students (ages 4-12) will have a Chaperone assigned to oversee them backstage. During intermission only, if a student has finished performing, ONE parent may go backstage to retrieve him/her at the check-in table. Students planning to attend Act 2 seated in the audience with their parents (with a purchased ticket) are allowed to wear their costume no need to be attired in their street clothing. All other students not picked up at intermission will be taken to the balcony in their costumes to watch the rest of the performance. Please pick them up at the check-in table after the show and remember to sign out when leaving the Eisemann Center.
