2016-2017 Graduated Seniors

The 13 students who graduated this year are moving on to bigger and better things! Read about each of their plans for the future below, from Julliard to a dance company to a plethora of schools across the United States, they are headed for greatness.

Collectively, these students’ scholarships total over $2.2 million! That’s impressive. We are so proud of each of student here at Chamberlain School of Ballet, and wish the best of luck to them on their journeys ahead.  

Lauren Davidson – Graduated with Honors from Plano West Senior High School, Lauren will be attending Boston Ballet School’s summer dance program this summer and in the fall she plans to attend the University of Texas at Dallas.

Jessica Elliott – Jessica has been homeschooled and will be graduated this past spring.  She will be attending Southern Methodist University in the fall and will double major in Biological Sciences and Dance Performance.  She received the Meadows Scholar Award, the Distinguished Scholarship, the Discovery Scholarship, and an artistic scholarship from SMU.

Bethany Greenho – Bethany graduated as an AP Scholar and with Distinguished Honors from Plano Senior High School this spring.  She is attending Fordham University in New York City this fall.  Her plans are to study Art History and possibly Costume Design.

Ricardo Hartley III – Ricardo graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.  He was an active member in Booker T’s Student and Senior Council, Fellowship of Christian Artists, and the dance department.  Ricardo is a proud DISD Scholar as well as a member of the National Honors Society and National Beta Club.  In the fall, Ricardo will be attending the Julliard School on a full tuition scholarship as a Bachelor of Fine Arts dance major.

Chamberlain School of Ballet - Plano, TX

Arianna Haynes – Arianna has been homeschooled and has attended Collin College for the past two years.  She will graduated as a student in their Honors Institute with 24 college credits. Arianna’s plan for next year is to study English at King’s College in New York City where she received their Presidential Scholarship, Leadership Scholarship, Legacy Award, Founders’ Honorable Mention Award, and The King’s Grant.  Her hope is to eventually work in the publishing field of writing and editing.

Emily Lanius – Emily graudated with honors from Plano Senior High School where she was an AP scholar.  In the fall, she will be attending the University of Texas at Austin as a biology major.

Sara McFearin – A graduate from Plano Senior High School, Sara was a National AP scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, and a National Merit Finalist.  She will be attending the University of Texas at Austin next year to double major in Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering.  She will be participating in the Engineering Honors Program and the Turing Scholars (CS Honors) Program.

Breanna Mitchell – Breanna graudated from Creekview High School where she was a member of National Honor Society and she received an AP Scholar Award.  Breanna will be attending The University of Oklahoma where she will double major in Dance/Ballet and Journalism.

Micayla Morgan – As a homeschooler, Micayla is graduated with Town North Co-Op where she also took college classes.  She will be attending the University of North Texas majoring in Biology and following a pre-optometry path for graduate school.  She was also recruited to swim for the University of North Texas Mean Green Women’s Swim Team.

Serena Press – Serena graduated from Plano West Senior High School in June. She was a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society, and received the AP Scholar with Distinction Award.  Serena will be majoring in Business at the McCombs School at the University of Texas at Austin in the fall.

Georgia Scott – This spring Georgia graudated from Plano West Senior High School as an AP Scholar with Distinction.  She was a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta.  In the fall, she will be attending Duke University majoring in Chemistry.

Rajalaxmi Srikanth  This spring Rajalaxmi graudated from Aristotle Academy at the young age of 14.  She will be attending University of Dallas in the fall and was awarded the Dallas Provost Scholarship.

Luke Yee – Luke graudated from Plano Senior High School.  For the past summers, he attended Pacific Northwest Ballet School, Austin Ballet Academy, and Miami City Ballet School.  This summer he is attending Next Generation Ballet in Tampa and plans to stay next year to continue his professional dance training.
